Open Filming at the Capitol February 7, 8, & 10

We’ll be hosting open filming for all legislators who wish to participate in the Why We Serve initiative led by our IOP Fellows. Fellows will be at the Capitol to film and interview legislators.

Expect questions like…

What inspired you to pursue public service?
What part of public service do you enjoy the most?
What have been your most difficult challenges so far?

If you’ve wanted to join your fellow legislators in participating in IOP@FSU’s Why We Serve student interview series, now’s your chance.

Dates:

Mon., Feb. 7 (4-8 p.m.) – 229 Senate

Tues., Feb. 8 (1-4 p.m.) – 223 Senate

Thurs., Feb. 10 (8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) – 229 Senate

FSU Day at the Capitol is February 9

The Florida Capitol will gleam garnet and gold as Florida State University celebrates its academic and athletic success during FSU Day at the Capitol.

The event will showcase several of the university’s colleges and academic departments, which will have displays and information tables set up on the first three floors of the capitol from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

An outdoor pep rally will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the plaza between the old and new capitol buildings. Also featured will be University “celebrities” – administrators, legislative alumni and more – along with performances by the FSU pep band, cheerleaders and Flying High Circus.
